Light Up the Guitar!

We are working on a LED-lit and app-programmable sculpture. The rebar sculpture of a (bass) guitar has existed for about 5 years and begs to be lit up. This was a dream I had which led me to try and take steps to make it happen. I attended a couple SparkFun events through Women Who Code and began looking into IoT, and joined the Denver-Arduino-Meetup and learned to solder. In August the Denver-Arduino-Meetup identified the project as a good group project for the team, and now we are going to make the dream a reality.

#Hashtag - Where to Find the Good Stuff

Learning about something takes knowing where to search! New to #lxd (Learning Experience Design), I want to start following the convo online-->

Some hashtags I've discovered to date:
  • #lxd (learning experience design)
  • #digped (digital pedagogy)
  • #diglit (digital literacy)
  • #ds106 (edtech digital storytelling)
(I'll add more as they come up, comment below and I'll copy your hashtags up here too!)

Sources and Resources:

Slick and Attention-Grabbing Promos. Quick, Easy, and Fun!

Trying out Adobe's free online generator spark.adobe.com. Specifically their awesome social post tool called "Post." 5 minutes to a slick and attention-grabbing promo.

There are 3 tools available through spark.adobe.com:
  • "Post" for social posts and graphics-- great for memes, inspirational quotes, announcements, invitations, and more
  • "Page" for web stories-- great for photo journals, event recaps, portfolios, catalogs and more
  • "Video" for animated videos-- great for lessons, pitches, presentations, greetings and more

So great to create something beautiful and effective quickly-- how rare is that?!
